Kunming Liulong DC project starts from Yunnan kunbei converter station in the west, and ends at Guangxi Liubei converter station and Guangdong Longmen converter station in the East. It adopts ± 800 kV three terminal Hybrid DC technology, with a total length of 1489 kilometers and a transmission capacity of 8 million KW. After the completion of the project, Yunnan clean hydropower will be directly transmitted to the load centers of Guangdong and Guangxi to meet the "14th five year plan" and the subsequent coordinated economic development of the southern region and the power demand for the economic development of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Bay area.
